The European Environmental Bureau together with the env.net project is inviting environmental NGOs to an online conference to discuss whether there are new opportunities to work for the environment in the Western Balkans and Turkey, what opportunities for environmental CSOs are and how the organisations can make sure their voices will be heard. The session 3 of the event will be attended by the EPPA Team Leader, Mihail Dimovski.
As a step following the European Green Deal, the EU is soon going to present the Green Agenda for the Balkans. Environment and climate have not only become a top political priority within the EU but they are also seeing increased attention in the external dimension, in particular in the EU’s work with the candidate countries in the Western Balkans and Turkey and in its partnerships such as the Eastern Partnership. The increased attention for the environment comes with new opportunities to push for better environmental protection, stronger environmental governance and improved environmental justice.
