In addition, the Environment Agency Austria is a sought-after partner of international organisations such as the European Commission, the European Environment Agency, UNEP, OECD and ECE. Umweltbundesamt GmbH has successfully participated in institution building projects for nearly all new Member States and accession countries to the European Union.
UBA GmbH has 20 years of experience implementing Twinning projects in cooperation with EU Accession Countries and New Member States (including the project countries), therefore, the EAA has an excellent knowledge of the environmental situation and difficulties in the region and proven capability to understand and adapt the approach to the actual situation and needs of the beneficiaries. Company has large, multidisciplinary pool of experts, covering all disciplines related to environment, which allows responding to the specific needs of the project without endangering the time frame. As a National Environment Agency and part of different national and international working groups in Austria and Brussels, UBA has long experience in the implementation and transposition of EU Directives as well as capacity building.
